Coach Matthew Barreau
Really looks like Rupp was just there to run behind Farah. He probed once or twice, but really for the most part it just looked like he had strict orders to just "do what Farah did." Even feels like that for a lot of the comments the two have said recently... when Farah broke the British record at Pre and said "anything I can do so can he" ... and after Rupp ran at US I remember something he said just struck me as "I'm glad I have a perfect training buddy" ... in some respect I definitely feel like Rupp's training/racing may be at a new level with such a seemingly-perfect training partner, but just watching this portion of the race made it feel almost like there IS a pecking order between them. However, I am really excited to see them both growing and doing so well, especially since it felt, for a little while at least, that Salazar/Rupp may be starting to look toward the road/marathon sooner than expected. Good to see him staying on the track and continuing to improve so much! Great testament to years of careful planning under one coach... reminds me a bit of how Coe did it (well, I wasn't born when he was doing most of it, but same situation).

Both Farah and Rupp looked awesome in that race. Great to see Galen running so strong !
