USATF will end year within $20M budget

The
Olympic national governing body for track and field expects to finish
the year within its $20.4 million budget, having conducted major events
under projected costs, generated $12.1 million in sponsorships and
netted $2.7 million in U.S. Olympic Committee grants.
USA Track & Field, based in Indianapolis, broke even on national
team competitions, the Visa Championship Series, the USA Outdoor Track
& Field Championships and summer youth and Junior Olympic stops,
said Kenneth Taylor, the NGB’s treasurer and chairman of the budget and
finance committee that helped assemble the 2011 budget.
